Plant Care Instructions

Light: Loves full sun — at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily. Ideal for sunny patios, gardens, or bright indoor windows.

Water: Water deeply but infrequently. Allow the top 5 cm of soil to dry between waterings. Once established, the Arbequina is drought-tolerant and prefers drier conditions to overly wet soil.

Temperature & Humidity: Thrives in warm, dry climates. Protect from frost and extreme cold — move potted trees to sheltered spots in winter if necessary.

Feeding: Feed every 6–8 weeks during spring and summer with a balanced fertiliser or organic compost to encourage healthy growth and fruiting.

Pruning: Prune lightly in late winter or early spring to shape and encourage airflow through the branches. Remove any dead or crossing stems.

Soil: Prefers well-draining, sandy or loamy soil. Avoid heavy clay that retains water.

Harvest: Produces small, aromatic olives that ripen from green to rich brown — perfect for home oil pressing or curing.
